Full Dentures
Full dentures are used when all of the teeth in one jaw are missing. These dentures are made from porcelain or acrylic resin. Complete dentures, also known as full dentures, are prostheses that replace all your natural teeth. You may have adapted them for your upper or lower gum line, are held in place by suction and are easily removable.
Partial Dentures
Partial dentures are made when there are some teeth missing, but other teeth remain. The denture replaces only the teeth that are missing. These dentures can be made from plastic, metal or a combination of both. They usually have little metal clasps which rest or grip on the natural teeth to hold the denture in place.
Flexible Dentures
Flexible dentures are another style of partial denture, however are made from a softer, more flexible material such as thermoplastic nylon. Unlike rigid dentures that require gum adhesive or metal clasps to hold them in place, flexible dentures cling to the gums using suction which allows for the colour of natural gum to show.
Denture Repairs
We service all types of denture repairs, including denture fractures, denture breakages, and damage to metal denture clasps. The most common type of denture fracture is due to denture misalignment, or a poor fit. Over time as you chew and bite, the poor denture fit can cause micro-fractures and stresses.
Immediate Dentures
Immediate dentures are an alternative treatment option to prosthetic implants following a total teeth extraction. Immediate complete dentures will in time require a reline, (or in some circumstances, to be remade) following healing of the soft tissue, as well as gradual progression of residual ridge resorption.
Denture Relines
Denture relines area simple and affordable technique that reshapes or replaces the underside surface of the denture. Denture relining can be carried out on both partial dentures and complete dentures. It is recommended to have your denture relined every two to three years to ensure comfort against your gums.
